Orbis consistently develops the Accor network in Poland
The Orbis Group, whose strategic partner is Accor, further develops the hotel network in Poland and Eastern Europe. Orbis has signed a franchise agreement for the Mercure Sosnowiec hotel (120 rooms) with Glare Global Sourcing Faruque sp.j.
Mercure Sosnowiec will be opened in 2022 and will be the first branded hotel in this city. It will be a new investment that will be built on the site of the current old vocational school building at ul. Teatralna, in the center of Sosnowiec. The undoubted advantage of the hotel will be the location - only 450 m from the Main Railway Station, next to a shopping center, close to the main streets and in close proximity to the center of Katowice. In addition to the 120 rooms, the hotel will have a restaurant, a sky bar, a conference and banquet facilities as well as a Spa area.
- I am glad that together with the Orbis Group and Accor we will create a modern hotel for the business and tourist travelers. I do not hide that I’ve chosen this brand because I liked the concept of the Mercure Kraków Stare Miasto hotel. Due to the absolutely central location of the hotel in Sosnowiec, I was looking for a strong, fairly standardized brand belonging to an international network, but flexible enough to let me create a hotel with elements that I care about.
