Gilles Clavie started his professional career in 1993 as a Consolidation and Group Financial Reporting Manager in Eridania Beghin-Say, an agro-industry company. His experience with hospitality industry began 17 years ago in Accor Group, when he became EMEA Reporting Director for the business and leisure hotels segment. In 2011 Gilles Clavie joined Orbis SA as a member of the Executive Committee.
Since 2014, Gilles Clavie is a President of the Management Board & CEO of Orbis SA – the largest hotel group in Poland and Eastern Europe with over 4000 employees. Over 4 years under his leadership, with the acquisition of AccorHotels’ operations in Eastern Europe in January 2015, Orbis entered a new chapter of its development and transformed into an international group, significantly strengthening its leading position in the region. Orbis comprises almost 130 hotels and is the sole licensor of AccorHotels brands in 16 countries. The hotels operate under the brand names Sofitel, Pullman, MGallery, Novotel, Mercure, ibis, ibis Styles and ibis budget. Orbis is offering its guests and partners the dual expertise of a hotel operator and hotel investor with the objective of ensuring operational excellence and sustainable growth.
Thanks to his effective and successful activity Gilles Clavie received the title “Personality of the Year 2015” by Hotelarz magazine & Horwath HTL. He has been awarded among the “The 20 most efficient CEOs of the Warsaw Stock Exchange” (mWIG40 index) by Havard Business Review Polska & TMS Brokers. On the basis of company performance, dynamic, transparency, CSR approach, powerful brands & concepts, since 2014, Orbis was nominated and awarded by the most often recognized titles in Poland and CEE.
Ireneusz Weglowski has been Vice President of the Management Board of Orbis S.A. since 1991. He has been incessantly involved in the hospitality business, particularly in the management of hotel portfolio. He participated in the company’s restructuring aimed at concentration on the core hotel business. He is an experienced hotel practitioner in operations, investments and disposals. He successfully handled numerous sales of non- strategic properties of the company.
Graduate of Warsaw School of Economics, he has participated in the international Professional Development Program at the School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University in Ithaca, United States.
He is also a President of the Chamber of Commerce of the Polish Hotel Industry – an association that represents a hospitality sector on local, national and EU levels. The CCPHI is a member of HOTREC, an Umbrella Association of Hotels, Restaurants and Cafes in Europe.
Marcin Szewczykowski is a graduate of the International Economic and Political Relations department (faculty: Foreign Trade) of the Cracow University of Economics.
Mr. Szewczykowski began his professional career in the Department of Audit and Investment Advice of Arthur Andersen Sp. z o.o., where he has been employed from 1995 to 2001. During the period from 2001 to 2006, Mr. Szewczykowski was the Vice-President in charge of finance in ComputerLand S.A. In January 2007, Mr. Szewczykowski began employment in Orbis Group, first as the Vice-Director responsible for Finance, and since June 2007, as the Finance Director. Since September 2007 Mr. Szewczykowski has been member of Orbis S.A. Management Board in charge of finance.
Mr. Szewczykowski is a licensed Certified Auditor and is a member of FCCA. Speaks English fluently
Dominik Sołtysik before an appointment to the MB, in June 2016, for 3 years hold the position of Orbis SA Development and Asset Management Director.
He graduated from the faculty of economics of Toulouse Business School, and gained the first professional experience as a financial auditor in Salustro Reydel. In 2003 he joined the finance department at the headquarters of the Accor Group in Paris. In 2010 he was Finance Director Accor Pannonia Hotels in Budapest. During his career he filled various finance-related positions, and he won extensive experience in finance, development and asset management in Paris, London and Budapest and Warsaw.
In Orbis SA he is in charge of effective management of the portfolio of hotel properties and the development of the Group in Poland, and in the countries of Eastern Europe. He has been managing various corporate projects, among others, Orbis-AccorHotels historical transaction in 2015.
